I just want to say I think Shiloh should get the points because she's the only one that actually made any sense in her answer. I couldn't figure out how you got between the step but I see it now. Give Shiloh the points.

Oh, hey I just went back to it and it's not true anyway! You can't divide both sides by 2-2 because that's zero. Now I get what everybody was talking about! Hahahaha I feel stupid....and I'm actually really good at math too! Yarrrrrrrrr

In the end, it's all about division:

8=8
4+4=4+4
4-4=4-4
4-4=2²-2²
2(2-2)=(2-2)(2+2)
At this point is where division comes into play. Divide both sides by (2-2), and you get 2=2+2, which is the same as 2=4. Then divide both sides by 2 and you get 1=2.

2=4 = 1=2

you divide fools!!! 2/2=4/2

2divided by 2 = 1 & 4divided by 2 = 2

so 1=2!!!

The last three are wrong, 2(2-2)=(2-2)(2+2) is the last true equation because each side equals 0 but after that, they are wrong.

my math teacher had showed us that before with a=b, but he never gave us the answer, so i dunno. wait, ive found it. 1 does NOT equal 2 becuause when u cancel out the (2-2) 's, u have to divide then since they r being multiplied to another number. but the both equal 0, u r dividing by zero, and one rule in math is that u can't divide by 0. so it doesnt equal 0. the following link is the same formula, but with x and y

2 doesn't equal 2+2....2 doesn't equal 4..... 1 doesn't equal 2.....math was never my strongest subject.
