Okay first I wouldnt get the SEDU my friend had one and it had technical difficulties which when she talked to the other owners of them they had technical difficulties as well. CHI are okay but they are really expensive and you can buy the same quality for a WAY cheaper price
The best Flat Iron I have ever seen/used is made by Conair. The best one is 60 second heat up with the gold teflon plates. It comes with two brush thingys that hook on the side that either help straighten or shine your hair. You can buy it walmart for like 10-20 bucks and the quality is as good as the higher priced Flat Irons. And you dont have to use ur moms credit card

I have really unruly, curly hair, and I have tried a few flat irons. I recently bought a Chi, and I have to say, I am thoroughly happy with my purchase. I would highly suggest Chi flat irons. I looked up some information about them, they are not the highest end, but they are indeed a good buy for their cost. I believe I spent about $130 on mine. For the price of it, compared to others in that price range, Chi is the best... :) Good luck and happy shopping!

the SEDU might sound good, but I was thinking about getting that one and i just didn't feel it. it's not that well known. I would go for the CHI.

My first choice was the GHD, which sounded as good as the chi and sedu, but less expensive.
But instead I got this Conair Wet/dry straightener that my friend recommended.

I have a CHI that I use at work every day. It is really good and worth the money. There is a 5 year warranty and I have never known anyone who has had any problems with it.

As a Hairdresser I have tried about 5 different ones I prefer Chi....more expensive but WELL worth the extra buck!!!! Just remember to use a comb and not your fingers and CONDITION well!!!

My hairstylist told me Chi is the best, but now there is one at Sally's beauty supply that is a "compared" to Chi that you can get for about $50 dollars. So you might consider that.

P.S. another tip she told me make sure whatever you get that it is ceramic (better for your hair)

I have a Remington Wet2Straight straightener. It works great, doesn't damage my hair and only cost about 30 bucks. I would suggest getting that straightener first before commiting to a higher priced one.

I would get a salon quality one. Try Chatters.
