It's all part of the same slow-creeping global situation, the "haves" against the "have-nots" - it's an extension of the "grass is always greener" instinct - but on a massive scale. Would we be in Iraq if their main export was carrots? And would the immigrants be over here if there was no benefit system and the mean temperature was the same as Iceland? -- The men in grey suits who pull the strings have already assessed the situation, their view of the world is far more extended than that of mere politicians, they look at the probabilities over the next 50-100 years ... and the outlook, if you haven't got the necessary resources, is pretty bleak. We are kicking down fences to get what we want, and others are kicking down our fence to get what they want. There is a violent dark spectre heading humanity's way, everyone knows it but nobody wants to stare it in the face. Populations are are moving, religions are flexing their mouths and muscles and the fact is that the third world war has already begun ... it's just that nobody has told the people yet.

Americans are not concerned about immigrants coming into our country. Well, they are, but most immigrants who go through the process are not criminals Americans are concerned about the criminals breaching our border security, and inflicting damage, and harm in this country.
Because we are at war, we are addressing this problem with aggresive action, since our government has failed to protect us.
We the American people have been attacked on 9/11, then punished by our government for being attacked. Our government will not secure our country, or our people. That means that Americans have to fall onto the Declaration of Independence for our right to protect our country, even if the government disagrees.

Well, there are 30 million "illegals" here in the U.S.
now and they are draining our government as we are
giving them all kinds of government handouts....some
of them work- some don't. Maybe you'd like to see US
become UnitedMexico. When they start running for
office and voting, they will run this Country as they wish
as they will be more of them than there is US legals.
Their government should stepup and provide them with
paying jobs so they don't have to sneak over here to pick
oranges, apples, and strawberries (and whatever else).
Let them go thru proper channels to become legals as
foreigners from all over have done.

As long as the border remains open there is a threat. If you we're in charge of al queda and losing in Iraq what would you do? Send your best to America to strike at the infidels before they are caught in Iraq and defeated; and how will they get into this country = across the border with Mexico.

Next we have the issue of 12 million people here illegally. We have many that want to excuse this criminal behavior merely because a majority of them work hard and try hard. I applaud the work ethic, I applaud those who do it for their families, but I abhore those who can't come here legally and ignore our laws.

Because we ARE in a war with mexico!! ILLEGALS are colonizing our towns and cities! Because our country IS being INVADED by a foreign country!!! And NOTHING is being done to stop it!!! ILLEGALS are NOT just "sneaking over here to work"! They are taking back territory they consider as theirs. If Bush wasn't KISSING UP to Fox,we would have our borders SEALED so TIGHTLY,that NOTHING could get through!!!!!!!!!!!!

No they are not. That's what you think. 'Poor Paco'. Why don't you let 20 illegals move in with you and take care of them?

The average taxpayer pays $700 a year extra in taxes for illegals - wether you think they pay enough in taxes or not and that supposed to make them above the law and not us.

Please write your congressmen to raise your taxes double or triple for 'Poor Paco'.

Oh, and don't go to ihategringos.com or immigrationwatchdog.com, they are just paid actors, right?

As for the war, http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20060627/wl_afp/iraqusmilitary_060626213608 - they want to bring a significant amount home by 2007. Write your congressmen like me, who said you could only write to them about one issue?

Iran has until Aug 22.

Don't worry alot of Americans can multitask and follow more than one issue in our country - you look at the number of people talking about it and erroneously think they're not looking anywhere else. We are not that easily fooled.

Dear Kya, we basically have no choice, we are being sedated by the powers that be, and our News media is instructed as to what we shall be informed of and, what they feel we don't need to learn about. Excluding our Internet (but not for long) we are getting spoon fed a home made recipe of bull **** daily and many Americans love it, and just gobble it up!

They are coming here to have subsidized services like education and health care which now are so strained they cannot serve our own people. They also drive down wages, pushing our own workers closer to poverty. Important as our foreign actions are, nothing hits home like our own children's inability to get an education. We are paying for their better life, and the biggest price is being paid by our children.

Fortunately, we can multitask.

The government did that on purpose--made it a hot ticket issue to get people's attention away from the failing war. It is an effort to boost republican support again.
