There are a lot of ways to deal with stress, and the best one for you depends on your personality and also where the stress is coming from. Exercise is often a good way to deal with stress- not only does it allow you to "work off" your frustration, it also produces endorphins, chemicals in your body which make you feel happier and more energized. Listening to music is also a good way to de-stress, although heavy music with screaming lyrics usually doesn't work too well. Taking some time to do an activity that you enjoy can reduce stress as well.
There are also ways to prevent over-stressing yourself. If you eat right and get enough sleep every night, your mind and body will be better equipped to deal with life, and you'll find that stress doesn't creep up on you quite as often.

The most effective way is through humor. Find yourself a funny friend who hates the same stuff you do. Or watch a comedic movie that jokes about your subject. Laughing in general be good but laughing at your specific problem is better.
example: problems at work = office space / school = ferris bueler's day off

If it's stuff like how much you have to do in a day take time to plan it out. a good logical plan for how to get your goals accomplished with priority listing or a time table is fairly effective.

it also helps to try new stuff. Cliche hobbies are nice but try something really random. if you can laugh at yourself for doing it, it's probably a great stress reliever.

Try a new kind of music. Some are very soothing and esspecially good for sleeping to. (ps. sleep is one of the best things you can do for yourself, but don't max out. for some reason sleeping past seven in the morning always makes a day harder to deal with for me. try 11 to 6 or 7.)

Is this Matt Damon the actor? That would be nice. 1) take deep slow breaths in with your mouth and breath out through your nose 2)take a walk 3) take a nice long bath and just sit in the warm water for a while 4) take a nice nap 5) take a Valium (if you have your own prescription only) 6)do some type of yoga type exercises. Hope these help.

Here we go again - all my sister's stuff:

Drink chamomile tea, take warm baths, use lavender candles, soap, shampoo, and anything else you can find in that fragrance. Walk and/or exercise, try valerian root - an over counter remedy for stress/anxiety. Don't drink caffeine or booze, cause both will make you irritable or anxious.
