Anybody have in ideas to creatively advertise desserts without spending a lot of money. I am in a start up business and I am in school and work part time. Maybe a dessert party? Help me out.

Thanks

Your local newspaper might have a Business section, where they write about new businesses that have opened locally. Send them a cute sample, like a beautifully-decorated cupcake, with a copy of your press release. Oh, you don't have a press release? Write one! (See the first link). You can also send your release to local restaurants and catering companies, who may be interested in contracting out dessert services (for this, you have to be able to deliver on schedule and with consistently high quality). Local gourmet food stores might accept your desserts on a consignment basis. Again, send your press release and a sample (or drop it off yourself just before the busy hours).

The more enticing the picture of the food, the more likely I am to buy the product or if seen in a cookbook - to buy the book.

How about e-mailing a recipe or 2 to friends and have them e-mail it to their friends - with your contanct information on there - like a web page - e-mail etc. (not your personal phone number for safety reasons alone.) Or send a ad to your friends and see if they will forward it one to their friends, etc etc etc,......Good Luck
