Because our country was founded on God. He is why it is so much better here in America than in other countries.

The money says In God We Trust but it does not specify which god... it does not specifically say in the Christian God We Trust. I believe the phrase can be applied to any persons deity which is why I have no problem with the phrase. Anyways, how many people have their money long enough to really sit around and stare at every little facet of it.

What? I don't it says that on my money I live in England. I'm an agnostic does that mean I can only spend it sometimes and not others coz I'm not sure if God exists or not? What does spending money have to do with not believing in God?

You make a good point. Maybe out of respect for Athiests it should be removed from the money because you don't have to believe in God to use money.

Great idea!

And the hundred dollar bill has on it somebody who isn't a Christian. Same with the one and (or so it is thought) the five. Franklin and Washington were deists, not Christians, and Lincoln is thought to have been an atheist. Jefferson was a deist too. So why do you keep spending money?

I kind of have to spend money. Hey, it is the only stuff they give me to pay bills, rent, buy food to feed myself (and my friends) and my pets. I really don't see an alternitive to your point. The US has one monetary system that just happens to have the name of a certain DIety on it that was printed over 200 years ago. Besides, who sayd the God mentioned is the Christian God? HA! NO ONE! It it an assumption!

mm... because we couldnt buy food and then we'd die. Why ask a question u know will offend and insult people arent u supposed to b a good christian person, maybe u should stop annoying people who dont believe in god and go worry about ur own beliefs and if ur really living up to them!

and thanks for the idea i will now start protesting to have IN GOD WE TRUST removed from US currency.

in god we trust was put on money by man,and money is man made......if god does exist he had nothing to do with printing of money, that was a silly question.

Good point. In fact, our money SHOULD NOT have that religious phrase on it. It is a violation of the separation of Church and State.
