I have two guesses on who would do it.
One someone who hates that you have taken the stand you have-oops well the other in my mind has that same reason .

The only reason they would go to such trouble is because they see you as a threat to their illegal and ungodly activities. Yes being here illegally is ungodly because we are told to uphold the laws of the land as long as they do not come into conflict with God's laws, and we are also told to render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's and unto God the things that are God's. It's probably some illegal Mexican. They are really good at having 10 or so false IDs and when they "write" they can't spell most of the time. Most of them can't even spell their favorite word "racist".
