ok i'm really considering changing my hair color but i'm not sure what color to do.

you see my natural hair color was dirty blonde but it was really dull and ugly and i didnt like it so i dyed it to a really light shade of blonde. I had that color for a while but i got tired of it because it would look dirty really quickly, plus i have black eyebrows so it looked unnatural. Then i dyed it professionally to the color it is now which is a kind of reddish color. though it doesnt look very good anymore because the color has fadded and it looks a bit orangey.

So this leaves me to my current problem of what color to dye it. I was thinking maybe a chocolate brown or maybe even black to match my eyebrows. But i'm not sure if that would make me look really pale... anyone have any suggestions??

First of all DO NOT color you hair black...no black dye looks natural....now if you like your hair red go ahead and dye again but get a shampoo that is for red heads, it helps hold in the color, same goes for brown, they make color shampoos for that too. Now I think a good color combo is a medium brown with blonde and auburn highlights, very sharp. Also if you do decide to go with any shade of brown do not get one that has ash in it, if you swim or have well water your gonna turn green..and one more thing that might help you can have your eyebrows lightened too and that will open you up to other colores you may be scared to try because they are dark...Good Luck...

Rule of thumb, always go a shade lighter than you think you want. I have medium brown hair and I used a medium brown wash in permanent hair color and it turned out ghastly dark. I think you should stick with the blonde shades and add highlights. Good luck.

I would go with the chocolate brown with some subtle copper highlights, so it is not boring. Also if y ou can make sure you get it done professionally because that is always better. Try not to go for anything too bold but not too boring either. Your hairstylist can help. Good luck!

No matter what color you pick, eventually it's going to fade and you're going to have to re-dye it. Why not go a light brown and add some blond highlights and lowlights.

If you have fair, white skin, DONT color it brown unless you want a gothic look. Chocolate brown looks great w/ every skin color.

If you like the red, keep it. You just have to keep getting it colored more often as it takes longer to deposit the color.
