What is a good way to teach a dog to play dead?

Question

I have a year old female chocolate lab that knows a few tricks like sit, down, and even shake, but I have no clue how to get her to play dead. If you know any other good tricks tell me how to teach those too.

That one is best taught in steps... Teach them down and roll over first. Then, teach them to combine it. Give them both commands in succession, repeatedly. When they have that down, add in whatever command you want to use. (I find it helpful to add hand signals so they know what you are talking about when you change the word command to "Play dead".) Simply put, but that's the best way I've found yet.

I'd tell her to lay down and then when she moves or whatever be like "Nooooo...nooooo...." until she learns to be still until you say "Good girl!" or whatever.
