Does anyone hate school as much as me? I mean I really hate it. I am homeschooled and I would rather be homeschooled then go to public but I still hate it. I think I just is a waste of time but I don't want to be stupid like some people I know.

School to me is a great experience. Sure, it can be utterly boring at times, but it helps people stay connected, as well as obviously educated. People are forced to make decisions - ones that make the person who they become later in life. School is a waste of time for people who feel that it is. A positive attitude toward school could be beneficial, while a negative one could create negative experiences. Home schooling in comparison to public school leaves a lot of room for creativity, but can end up stopping people from becoming social. While nothing is a guarantee in school, to me school is a gateway to a bright future. Without the free schooling that I have been offered, I would have never have reached any of the goals that I have set previously in life, and with my schooling to come (college), I hope to take on higher and more impressive goals. My own experiences of having hated school only pushed me farther from progress. Realizing my mistake before it became too late was the best thing that happened to me so far in my life. I have been able to turn around and pick up my good grades, and get my self college-bound. After college, I want to become a biologist, and study the rest that the world has to offer.

I'm sure I am a lot older than you. Yes, I hated school. As a teenager my early years were terrible. Rule was you couldn't quit till 16. The work wasn't that hard. I didn't have friends. I hated men school teachers. I was not well liked. Stupid - no. Focused not really. By the time I got to Jr. and Sr. year things were better. Classes got easier. I even got on the Honor Roll my Senior Year. Would I want to do different. NO. Back them they didn't have GED. You missed graduation you waited to take night classes with other adults. Take fun classes. Think what you would like to do as an adult and go for it. Being home schooled you can advance faster than being in school and you one have to deal with one teacher. One that loves you and wants you to succeed.

Public school gives you a little more than home-school. You can learn how to interact with people and make friends. Public schools also give you experiences that you won't get at home. I don't think that everyone loves going to school, but that's life. You get an education, so can you get a great job and good pay. You should at least finish high school. If you really care about your future, you should finish college.

Then study hard and go to college, just because you're homeschooled doesn't mean you don't get to go to college! Plus college is better than public or private school. You get to do your own thing as well as people leave you alone if you really want them to!

When I was in school I hated it too. Now that I am older (42) and understand how important it is, I sometimes wish I had put in more effort then. Although I have a very good job now I wonder where I would be if I went on to college after high school. I am now taking college classes. Do yourself a favor and put in your best effort now. It will serve you well in the future.

Hi,
I hate school when I was 3 years old. Most of the young student and teen may have this feeling, I agreed. When you growth up to 30th smt, you will change your thinking. To be a happy person, Love your school and your teacher now. They put a lot of affort to make people became well educated.

Tks:)

I really detested school, especially once I hit middle school. I liked drama club, and speech and debate team and science fair. A few clases with good teacher who were interesting I liked. but on the whole I really hated it.

I wasn't really fond of my lower division college courses (approximately first two years) either. They were a great deal like high school.

THEN I got to Jr. and Sr. level courses, and even was allowed to be a teaching intern and a research assistant. I even got to take 2 graduate level courses. Let me tell you, the higher division courses in college made suffering through all the earlier stuff worth it, MORE than worth it. It was ALL interesting, fun, and challenging.

Just keep on with it. Plow through it, and when you find your niche, you'll be SO glad you forced yourself to get through the early years.

I love going to school!!
Hating school means hating your future..
Hmmm... maybe you tried to enjoy it, or transfer to another school where you feel that you belong. Think that it is just a game and not stupid.
The waste of time you are taking about is when your not going to school.. Think about the money your wasting, the hard works of your parents, their wishes for you and your FUTURE..=)

99.9% of schooling is to prepare you to be a cog in a machine.
When you "graduate" you will have no life skills to do what you want to do. You'll have to start at the bottom somewhere.

Find something you are truely interested in doing and learn what you need to do that.

To seem educated, pick up a few general knowledge books which cover all the crap a "educated" person is supposed to know about when they graduate college.
