Schwarzenegger is an American citizen. Were you asleep during Civic's class? He couldn't be the govenor if he wasn't.
He is in a little bit of a tight spot. Since a large portion of his constituency is Hispanic, he does have to consider how they will vote. I think he is trying to balance what the President has requested with the opinions of the rest of the community.
Although we need to secure the borders, that isn't the only concern- Look at Oklahoma.

Deport him, he is not an American citizen, he is an immigrant that made his wealth off the American people, and feels he owes them nothing in return. Get him out of office, and out of our country. Americans once thought of him as a hero, as in the movie roles that he played, but many are more than aware of what a traitor he has become to America. The irony of it is that he was nothing more than a muscle bound boy toy before Americans decided they like him as an actor. I know allot of people that will not buy, or rent any of his movies. They just don't feel that he should continue to make such wealth at the expense of good Americans without being shown the proper respect in return.

I thought that he didnt want to send the guard to the border for other reasons, like to deploy them in high fire danger areas and the like, as well as the financial burden of doing such. Besides, he is an immigrant himself. Yes, he is doing the right thing. It is the responsibility of the federal government to secure the international borders, not that solely of the State.

first of all arnold was not born in this country..so maybe he feels a bond with illegal immigrants.. although he is legal. he also wants the law changed so people not born in this country can be president... notttttttttttt. and california is big on utilizing illegal immigrants for cheap labor... which isnt fair to anyone. and the so called homegrown terrorist.. couldnt have blown their own dumb asses out of a paper bag. they should have been charged with stupidity. according to news reports.. they had no plan,.. no bombs..... no clue. most illegals arent working for b.k. they are picking grapes... working in garment factories.. cleaning houses... and any other cheap labor people can squeeze out of them. i think making illegals become legal.. helps them. then they can make real money instead of scrapes. americans dont have to try to compete with people willing to work for pennies and we arent. also it is not fair to people who arent able to just cross a bed of water.. or fence to get into united states. most people from distant countries.. have to get sponsors.. and pass a naturalization test. it should be fair for all.by having the same rules.
