wtf didn't jesus have long hair?

i've got a joke for you,
A boy asks his father if he could take the car out for the weekend, and this father says "if you do all your chores, read your bible and cut your hair" So the weekend comes up and the boy goes to his father and asks if he could borrow the car the father replies "well have you done what i asked?" the son says "i did all the chores i was suppose to, and i have been reading my bible" The father smiles and says "why yes you have, but what about your hair" Then the son thinks for a second and says "you know dad i have been thinking about that, jesus and moses had long hair." The dad looks at his son "yes, and they walked everywhere they went."

What does it matter? Just about everyone in the book had long hair and as for passing my father is 67 and he has longer hair then me. In China and Japan long hair is a simble of honor. (Last time I check anyways)
