I'd say so since he's shivering. But what's the point of losing weight when you're dead from hypothermia?

Burn calories, yes. Lose weight, yes but at a very small amount that it won't be considered losing weight - in other words - very unlikely. You burn calories just by being alive, even if you are sleeping or holding still. Being cold means that your muscles are contracting, and that burns calories as well.

A person can lose weight(burn calories) by just living. Being cold does not enhance the loss of calories... It is the living body... that has motion... activity... that burns calories

I dont think so, you do burn extra calories, but not that many extra calories, unless you get so cold you catch hypothermia.

i think the body is useing more energy to heat the body in all the right places which is pumping more blood to ciurculate faster .but loosing weight i dont no?...........
