Norton Ghost 9 is a hard drive backup program. It is a little different from your run of the mill backup software. What Norton Ghost does is to take an exact snapshot of the hard drive, an exact image of the hard drive you might say. Should the hard drive ever crash, you can easily restore the hard drive to a point you previously backup. Most other backup software requires you to reinstall your software programs and then your files. If you brought a new hard drive then you can easily copy the backup image on to the new hard drive.

Norton Antivirus is exactly what is sounds like; it is an antivirus software program that offers both real time and on demand protection.

Both of these programs, Norton Ghost 9 and Antivirus 2005, are older versions. As of this date, Norton Ghost 10 and Norton AV 2006 are available.

Symantec Antivirus is the industry leader in antivirus solutions. They offer both personal, small business and corporate solutions.
