Is there anyone who doesn't want children?

Question

I have no desire to bring another life into this world, but every time I say that, someone tells me that I will someday, or I wont be complete until I do. I'd honestly rather just get a puppy. Is there anyone else who DOESN'T want children?

i wouldn't worry what everyone else tells you. its YOUR choice.
other ppl just don't want to feel threatened by the independence of someone that does not have children, or they want to be the "know-it-all" ppl. you know..the ones that will give you advise even if you don't need or want their input.
its a personal choice, not everyone is programed to "feel" a desire for children.
just smile, and say "right", and walk off.
don't sweat it.


*fyi*i am a mother, but i respect eveyones own choices in life! :)

I hear you. Ever since I was able to talk, I have been saying I never want children. I feel the same way now. If anything, I feel more strongly on the issue. Thankfully, my partner feels the same way. Unfortunately, his parents are really pushing for grandchildren.

Ooooo....me. And I have gotten the same response. Procreation is a very ugly process. Not something to look forward to. The people who want to have children probably don't know where children come out of.....haha

My sister doesn't want children. She is a teacher and says she gets enough of them at work.

i used to not want children and then i got pregnant and now that i have them its a whole different story. I wouldnt trade them for the world. But if you dont want kids then you dont want kids. No one says you have to have them.

when I was growing up I never wanted kids either and I did change my mind...however...should you choose not to have any children then it is your choice to make...it's your life and noone elses...do what is right for you.
