10 April, 1814 -- The Battle of Toulouse. Wellington, unaware of Bonaparte's abdication four days earlier, took Toulouse in a bloody battle that cost him and his allies almost 10,000 men.

Toulouse was the last battle of the "Peninsular Wars," Napoleon's ill fated campaign to take Portugal.

BTW, The Battle of Waterloo was in 1815.

Wellington and Napolean had a famous punch up called the Battle of Waterloo.
