Actually, some of those answers are just sad, not humorous. I'm afraid than many people who call themselves Christians don't have a working knowledge of the Bible that they claim to quote. Calling someone names is never a good way to get your point across. I too have seen the answers that many of my "sisters and brothers" have put on this site and I apologise on behalf of them. They really think they're doing a good thing. They don't know the damage that they're doing by calling atheists (and others) sad names and telling them that they're going to hell for their question. Before I was a Christian, I was turned off by other "Christians" when they'd speak to me like that. Didn't make me want to be one of them, that's for sure. I had to learn for myself what being a Christian was all about. And it's not what many of these well meaning people are throwing around. If they really wanted you to see Jesus in them, they'd learn how Jesus did things, and copy what He did. That's the meaning of the word Christian...Christ in you. So, if you're comfortable with the way you are, nothing I or anyone else says will make a difference to you, and I can still accept you as you are. But, that won't stop me from praying for you and praying that someone will come into your life that will show you what Jesus looks like, making Him real to you. Seeing is believing. Of course, if you find all of this very funny, that's up to you too. It's a free world. <*)))><

You know those crazy guys you see parodied on tv, who believe conspiracy theories, and think the aliens are draning their thoughts form space, and gather tons of food and water in a bomb shelter for the nuclear war that will always break out tomorrow?

same thing. If you are grown up to believe something as a kid, it's all they know, That's where all the zealots come from. Instead of feeling anger to them, pity them. One characteristic of a zealot is that they are just as harmful to themselves as they are to their surroundings.

Imagine them in society? think about how repulsive they are to normal people. Just laugh at them and move on to the fun stuff we get to do that the fanatics can't do because the bible won't let them, like treating women equally, dancing, eating meat and working on sunday.

BTW - there is no fossil record of macro evolution (one species becoming another) - there are no transitory fossils. Just one fossil of one species and another of micro evolution of that species (adaptation) or of a completely different species. That's not funny - it's fact. It's just a shame that you have believed all the lies you have read that are a slave to your scientific demigods.

When I was Christian, the church leaders actually held meetings to discuss what types of things non-Christians might say and offered comebacks to those statements. In retrospect, I find it strange that we would be "prepared" to dodge questions and attack the speaker versus being provided with honest, practical answers to address outside questions.

These are people who don't have any real answers to the questions you have asked, and so they spout out dogma that they've been indoctrinated (read "brainwashed") with. These people give ALL Christians a bad name in the end.
