That's stomach acid.
It's like us throwing up when we have nothing left in our stomachs. Try getting your little one to eat some grass, that helps to coat the stomach and make it less irritable until you can get to the vet tomorrow.

Chances are that a little white slime is nothing to serious. Could be something as simple as he drank to much water. Or that he has thrown up so much that he doesn't have anything else to vomit up. Kind of like when we get dry heaves. Do not give him any food or water today. If he will eat them, then give him ice cubes or ice chips, depending on his size. Later, if he is feeling better try boiling him some chicken and white rice. Make it very blan, mix it with a little chicken broth if you like. This is very gentle on their tummy's and easily digestible. Only feed him very small amounts at a time.
If he starts throwing up a yellow liquid then you need to take him to the vet ASAP! This is bile from the liver and indicates something much more serious is going on.
Of course no information you find here can compare to that of a veterinarian! If he gets worse then take him to your vet immediately. If your vet is closed then call their number anyway and it should have a recording on it that will give an emergency number for you to call.

That's not a good sign. Call the vet (there should be an on-call doctor you can reach) and ask them what the problem could be. The vet will likely give you the number for an emergency animal clinic to bring your dog to for treatment.

My dog does this once in a while, especially after she has been chewing on grass when we were outside. Also one time she was being stupid and decided to take a drink out of the mop bucket and she has also taken a drink out of a used paint can that had used paint brushes soaking in water in it. Both of those times she threw up white stuff. She was fine.
But I suggest that if it continues bring your dog to the vet. In my cases my dog was fine after a few hours. Good Luck.

It sounds like he's just got an upset tummy. Check in his ears and his gums to see if he's pale. If he is, and throwing up food, then hold off on the dog food. Try going with rice or chicken broth. Something very easy to digest. Like you'd eat if you were sick. You can also give him about a teaspoon of pepto-bismal. See if that settles his belly down. Gradually work his normal food back.

it could have eaten something bad, is allergic to something in its food* (have you switched foods?), or it could be sick and you made need a med from your vet
* if you switched foods recently then check the ingreedients to see if there is something in it.
my dog can only have kibbles and bits because other brands cause her back legs to slowly not work untill she cant move. it also caused us to give her less of her epilepsy medicine which caused siezures. :(:(:(:(

Nothing very much at all.................. dogs can make themselves sick at will. They also eat grass to make themselves sick too. You don't need the vet unless your dog is ill and not eating. I think you are worrying too much
