Christians offer websites for other Christians and they are put down for offering them, and they answer questions which the atheists reply to, whether good or bad. The same goes for atheists. Both parties get pissed off at each other. Anyone who doesn't like a question by anyone, wind up getting that question removed. Everyone has the right to stand up for what they believe, but not for trying to help others in a kind way. Yahoo! Answers should remove all matter pertaining to atheists, religion, and Christianity (these practically dominate). No one seems to complain about the filth questions, the explicit, etc., etc. Yahoo! Answers need to do some housecleaning on this site. Get rid of the filth as well. Perhaps Yahoo! Inc. could do something!!

I've just completed writing a letter to one of the VP's of Yahoo! Inc. I'll mail it tomorrow. Yahoo needs to clean up this sight and put restrictions on the question and answer content.

Nuff said!

All told, I'd rather this than another Crusade or Inquisition. People are frustrated with each other because this is a topic in which no argument, logical or otherwise, works to change minds. There's a reason for the rule that neither politics nor religion should be discussed at dinner. These subjects are always too fiery for anything like reasonable discussions to be held among family members. Here on Yahoo Answers, where we are all anonymous and strangers, we see what happens when the gloves come off regarding these subjects. That said, however, if this is the venue that people use to vent frustrations at the loyal opposition that would otherwise lead to more dangerous words or actions, then better this than the alternative.

What's the point of having an open forum for Q&A, if you can't ask the questions you want. I think perhaps, a better policy for Yahoo to do is:

Break the category of "Religion & Spirituality" into several other categories like: Christianity, Paganism, Athieism, Agnostic, Muslim, Islamic, etc... and let's not forget a category for RELIGIOUS BEEFS (which would serve the same purpose as a trash can! lol)

It would save people alot of time from having to sift through all the garbage - when they're looking to/for answers legitimately.

Okay - so that's my opinion.

I'm a Christian, and I too think this place could be a little better organized.

God Bless.

It is a battle to keep free speech, and free thought. It is a battle between the brainwashed and those unwilling to accept without proof. It is a forum where both sides can speak without interruption. I value it. I believe the Christians do too. Religion will be the end of our constitution, soon, if discussion is not available. If you don't like it, well, like a TV, you can shut it off, or tune it out. Why force your opinions on others, taking away the freedom and the need to express our own? But for the most part, it is questions like yours that frighten folks like me the most. You are willing to censor or shut down places like these because you don't like them. The religious right wants to do the same thing to many other freedoms that now we take for granted, this being one of them.

Why is there a battle? Because of the way you think! You scare me.

This question hardly deserves an answer, but I have not noticed any real put downs for one Cristian offering info on web sites to other Cristian's, If the subject is so dear to you try starting with putting your question only in the religion section. All people in the US are supposed to have freedom of religion, however it feel we should also have freedom from religion, and even tho I find religion offensive, I don't mind if you believe in it, why can't all religions leave others alone?

I don't know why atheist get SO angry whenever Christians ask questions for other Christians. Just look at the guy above me.
But fighting occurs in every category. Religion and politics are the favorites though. Everyone has a right to free speach

True everyone can and should stand up for what they believe in. HOWEVER, when someone tells an outright lie like ; "macroevolution has never been observed" then I for one feel the need to *****-slap the offender with more than just information. Once can NEVER defend one's postion by lying. And Pious Fraud seems to be a VERY widely used tactic by creationists.

You're right. No more battle of words and questions. Let's settle this with swords like the Crusades. Look how well that turned out.

i agree that yahoo should not allow questions about religion. religion just screws everything up, look at all the wars being fought over religion. even the one in iraq.....it all stems from religion

You are asking us to give up our freedom of speech & rights to expression? You, like all censorers can simply not be here...change the channel, move on to something you're happier with...move on!
