I'm looking for a nice hotel in Bangkok to stay at for 2 nights that isn't too far from the airport, isn't too expensive, and has a hot tub to help recover from 12 hour jet lag.
Please include a website in your answer.

Hi, there are hundreds over hotel/motel in Bangkok alone! So there are plenty to seek if you ask just like that. The better hotels, 4-5 stars standard will definitely have a nice and cosy room for you. If you want some pampaering, then Conrad Hotel, Shangi-la Hotel, Oriental Hotel, JW Marriot Hotel, Peninsula Hotel, Novotel stc all these provide you the best for your money.

The best is to see for yourself what you want. Go to www.asisrooms.com and check out the list there for Bangkok. You can read on the available facilities and services in the hotel/ Plus you get the rate for comparison and get a discount for net booking. Have ago.

I am originally from Thailand but I live in the US now. I just went back to visit Thailand last April. Here is my suggestion.

It depends up on your budget. If you are on the budget, then I would recommend "Ibis hotel" at Water Gate area in Bangkok. It is about 20 min from the Airport without the traffic. The hotel price is great it costs around 1600 baht or $40 per night. The room is new and modern. It comes with free breakfast buffet..
If is also closes to everything Sky Train Station, Major Shopping Mall.

If you need a massage (not that kind of massage), I recommend the place call, Health Land, they charge you only $10 for 2 1/2 hour thai massage. $20 for 2 hour oil message. The foreigners and locals pay same price.

Some of the hotels nearest the airport are:

Amari Airport Hotel
Quality Suites
Miracle Grand Convention Hotel

Amari is the best as it is actually connected to the airport so you don't have to wait for a shuttle or pay for a taxi.

None say they have a hot tub as one of their facilities. But they all seem to have spas so you could go for a massage. They are so cheap in Thailand you could probably have 2!!

The Atlanta Hotel is a nice, quiet hotel that is frequented by writers, artists, etc...they also were the first hotel with a pool in Thailand. I've stayed there and it's a cool little low-to-mid-priced hotel - see their website for more details.

Indra Regent would be the best hotel as it's low budget, decent, not too far away from the airport and situated on the Patunam Market street which is the best area for shopping so you dont need to spend on taxi's to go shopping.
