I don't think that Christianity is a lie or hoax... I believe that some religions are a lie and a hoax... we are all servants of God, when a religion puts a servant of God above all others then that is the hoax... we are all equal in the eyes of God... a church is defined as a body of christ where members gather to worship and do the workings of Christ. No one in any religion should be considered better than the other members in Christ. If so then thats where the problems start.

Christianity in itself is not a lie or a hoax.....it is a title that people have given themselves to belong to the group and fit in that particular society.

There is so much proof even in the Bible that most of the writings are contradictory and mythological.

I have had so much experience by going to many different churches and not one agrees with the other. So, how can
one group called "Christians" not even follow the same rules?
Brainwashing is the only answer that is feasible.

I wish I had a source to site, but I wasn't paying close attention in class that day! I heard the most interesting theory for Christianity. Long ago, a King, or higher up of some kind in a monarchy was searching for a way to keep pesants in line....the 10 commandments were born! Fear of the afterlife was a great threat. The bonus was that the church could collect money that the pesants were not wanting to give for taxes. Like I said, I wish Id paid closer attention that day, Id love to look into this theory more!! Certainly sounds plausable to me!!!

Suppose you are on a road and you cannot ever turn around and never return from whence you came. You come to a fork in that road and you must go forward and thus you must choose one of the roads. Suppose you see other people and you ask them which road you should take. Now suppose that you get different advice, but a "few" people tell you You are on the road of life. You must make choices every day of your life.
that they have "heard" from others that the left fork holds dangers and that there is a very high priced toll booth, but "nobody" knows anything about the right fork, and they are taking that one.
These are just rumors, right?
Who would you believe? Which road will you take?
Will you take the road that is rumored to be dangerous? Or the road, about which, no one knows or ever heard?

I don't think Christianity is a lie or a hoax, but I think many people have had a bad experience with a Christian or a Church and are bitter towards both. I can't blame you, but please remember people make mistakes, no one is perfect except Jesus. Christians are the same as everybody else, we make mistakes, we hurt people, the only difference is we believe and follow God and should be trying our best not to do these things, but we don't always make it.

Society has a need for organized religion and Christianity fits the bill. Although some televangilists with bad hair give the whole religion a bad name, most religions do a lot of good things with their extra money and many Christians do a lot of good work.

Overall I think the world would be a lot worse off without "believers" of all major religions.

(The question is, why can't we all come together to solve the world's problems and do good works without having to invent a common set of spiritual beliefs?)

I don't think Christianity is either a lie or a hoax. I'm sure there was a man named Jesus who was crucified, and I'm sure there were many who believed he was resurrected and spread the word, creating a religion. Whether it's true or not, those people believe it to be true. I don't think anyone in the Christian religion ever deliberately spread that news as a lie, or tried to deceive anyone that it was true when they knew otherwise. Were they misguided? Mislead? Perhaps. I don't see it as my duty to change their minds though.

What you and many don't understand is that MAN has taken the Holy Bible and used it to put people in bondage. The bible itself and Christianity had/has nothing to do with bondage. Christians are called to believe in Jesus Christ and God the Father and to serve and worship him. God is not asking us to jump off bridges or kill people regardless of what you may think or hear on the news...Christianity is nothing like that and NO its not a HOAX or a BIG LIE. Its a way of life that some of us have chosen that gives us a sense of security, strength and safety in a world full of hatred, weakness and danger.

I'm sorry you don't believe...but I'd rather live like God is real than to burn in Hell for eternity.

I pray that Jesus touch your heart and that you come to know him as your Lord and Savior.

In Jesus Holy name...Amen.

Sounds like you've been reading too much Da Vinci deception, dude.
Get a life and quit believing nut cases like Dan Brown who make up history as they go just to sell more books.
His book is total ignorance designed to deceive the simple minded. Everything has to be a hoax, a conspiracy, ...right....what a paranoid nut.

I don't believe it for a second. No other conclusion is possible, therefore, the baselessness of Christianity is an established fact. That 1/3 of the world's population believing in this fantasy notwithstanding.
