this guy i know has been waiting on the right woman for years but it hasn't happened. he loves kids. right now he is asking God to send him a child. his mother told that it doesn't work that way that it's going against God's will.
to my knowledge, he wants to get married and have kids but he would also like to be a single parent for now.
is that going against God's will if he wants to have kids before getting married?
is there something wrong with raising someone elses child?
only serious answers please. i want to help him with some advice.

It depends on whether he wants adopt or is he trying to just get someone pregnant and raise the child himself. I odn't think there is anything inherently wrong with a single guy adopting, but if he has this pressing need to fill a hole in his life with a child before meeting the right person he may want to take some time and examine his life to be sure that's what is really going to do it. For his sake I hope it all works out.

I dont think him asking God for a child is wrong at all. I think its a great trait to have. I believe God will give you what you need when you need it. If your friend is supposed to have a child then he will, married or not. God knows what you need and when.
