You can get a powder from your vets office that you sprinkle on their food.....it doesn't make their food taste any different but it will make their poo taste awful to them. My dog also did this when he was a puppy and my vet recommended it and it really works. That is the only thing that worked for me.

Wow how disgusting. you could upload pineapple to the dogs nutrients. It does an same component as seasoning salt. also, they make powders and pills and stuff that you'll get from the vet or some puppy shops that you positioned on the nutrients and it makes the poo flavor terrible. After a at the same time as the canines friends poo with a terrible flavor and prevents attempting to devour it. also, Purina is garbage. that's why she is eating her poo. it really is because she isn't getting sufficient foodstuff from that garbage and is attempting to get some more advantageous foodstuff. Purina is mostly filler. No ingredients from the food market are any good. you want to get a good high quality canines nutrients. The canines ingredients that you want must have meat because the first 2 substances. chicken meal or another style of meat meal is sweet too besides the undeniable fact that it should not be in the first 2 substances. Purina's first 2 substances are corn and something else. at the same time as have you ever seen a wild canines or wolf chewing on a corn stalk? dogs won't be able to digest corn. a twin of people won't be able to digest grass. might want to you imagine someone making you stay totally on grass for something else of your existence? would you're looking for some nutrients elsewhere?

I had a problem with my dog going into my roommate's room and eating the cat's poo right out of the litter box. Dogs are especially attracted to sour smells, so the key is to make sure they don't smell it. If your cat's using an indoor litter box, I suggest keeping one of those automatic air freshener's nearby. You can also buy this stuff called Bitter Apple to spray around it and keep the dog away. Bitter Apple's typically used as a topical treatment for dogs to stop them from biting at themselves, but I've found you can spray it on just about anything and they'll turn away. My dog stopped going for the litter box after about a week of us keeping a close eye on her and shouting "NO" very loud and angry at her. She got the hint. Another thing you can do is push the dog's nose down in the poo and tell it do, then smack it on the snout (it won't hurt your dog). I found this is a very useful way to make your dog understand something is unacceptable.

No please don;t get rid of your puppy they are just like kids and must be taught. Make sure to get a good food, go to a pet store and check labels, a good food won;t hide the ingredients and the inside but put them up front, or even better check your vet or local shelter....then your dog food can be a tax write off. Also go by Your local library and pick up a dog obedience or training guide to help you out in your first months as a doggy parent.

Is your puppy eating a GOOD brand of dog food? Some of the cheap brands are missing essential nutrients that dogs need. The dog will eat feces to try to get those nutrients---just sort of nature taking over. There are also things you can buy (at most pet stores) that help this problem. Makes the feces taste/smell bad even to the dog!!

Dogs love cat poop. What I do is put the cat box in a room and put a baby gate in the door way. That way the cat can get in and the puppy can't get in the cat box. I would also put the cats food in the room. I used to do that with my cats. My dog used to eat her own poop, but eventually she grew out of it. Some say put pepper on it after she goes. That might work. Otherwise there are pills you can get to make her poop taste really bad so she won't eat it. Good luck, cause dogs love cat poop.

There are pills to help that. It is often only a puppy thing that they out grow. However bordom plays a big part.
