My girlfriend is getting married soon. For her bridal shower the host has requested everyone to write a special memory to add in a book that will be read at the party. I have no clue what to write. Does anyone know of a website with ideas or have any of your own? Thanks

LOOKIE HERE!!! If the two of you are really close, then surely you have some wonderful memories. You need to sit down and just brainstorm. Look at it like signing a year book ... recalling your fun times together, then end it by wishing her happiness in her new life. If you don't want to do that you can quote someone else's works (poetry, quotes, music lyrics, etc) but you have to make sure that you don't commit plagiarism. MAKE SURE THAT YOU GIVE THE AUTHOR CREDIT FOR HIS/HER WORK by placing their name after the work.

I think your memory should be of something romantic and sweet or funny that offers some sort of guideline for the new bride. For example, you might write about a big fight you had over something silly and later you see that marriage is about meeting the other person halfway.

Hope this helps,

I'm sure you've just got writer's block. Go to www.theknot.com they've got a lot on writing toasts and such, I think that would probably help you a lot.

Tell how you met...or tell something funny that happened when you were doing something together....or tell how she acted when she met her fiance and told you about it.....
