Sounds like you just get in a rut, and feel overwhelmed and tired of working all that time. Refocus your energy on what you like to do and commit to doing that at least one time a week (like walking, painting, reading). Even if you have kids or a busy schedule, you should take some time in the week for yourself (think nice long bubble bath or your favorite movie). Look for opportunities in the day that meant something, like cheering up a coworker, or doing a job well done. Prayer can help or journaling. Find a close friend to confide in, and ask for them to cheer you up. They know you better than I do. If you have written goals, post them on the wall and look at them every day to keep you going. If you don't have your goals written down, then write them down and focus on what you are trying to accomplish. And don't forget to laugh at the little things. Like, for me, I was browsing through these questions and answers at work, and somebody wrote about doing a pee-pee dance and it cracked me up. I almost laughed aloud at work.

How about some nice visual imagery?
You're walking through a beautiful, emerald green field. There a light scent of fresh lavender wafting through the soft breeze. You come to some tall, majestic oak trees. They're along side a cool flowing stream. You slide your shoes off and wade through the water. You feel your troubles flowing away with the stream. You turn and look behind you and there is that moron from work that's been bothering you for ages! You take him by the neck and hold him underwater! Oh Yeah!! THAT'S GOOD!!!! Again! and AGAIN!

Feel better now? ;-)

Kidding aside -
I have to work some pretty long hours from time to time also. It's hard to keep your sanity when you hardly have time to do your laundry. Hopefully you'll get to buy something nice with all the money you're making. Or do something to make somebody you love happy. As a friend pointed out to me in Genesis it goes on and on for a while like this: "XXXX begot YYYY; YYYYY begot ZZZZ; ZZZZ begot .... and this too came to pass." Everything "Came to Pass". Nothing bad ever "came to stay". Take it easy and just remember "This too shall pass!"

Hi there, sorry to hear you are feeling, as i call it, "down in the dumps." Sometimes you need to just sit back and think about all the good that you may have in your life and your surroundings. When I find myself in these funks I think about the smallest gifts to be grateful for; ie. having my sight, being able to hear and speak, having the ability of movement (i was in an accident a year ago and it is amazing when a part of our body is handicapped, we realize how much we take for granted.), be thankful for having a roof over your head, a meal to eat, etc. There is so much to grateful for in life, sometimes we need to just step back from our busy life and breathe.
Maybe you could pick up a funny book, I always seem to laugh at Carl Hiaasen's books; or go out and rent a funny movie. Maybe you could give a phone call to someone you haven't heard from in a while.
All in all, to me, the most important way to get back on track and lift my spirits is to say a prayer. I have a strong faith in God, but sometimes, when we focus on all the hustle and bustle from day to day we get caught up and loose sight of all the important aspects of our life. Trust in God and he will lift your spirits and let the sun shine again!

Obviously you don't like your job, neither did I.

I've learned that if you want different results in life, then you have to change what u do!

if you don't change what u do, don't expect anything different!

Anyone can cheer you up even you, yourself can do it...if you set your mind to be miserable then you will be miserable but setting your mind in a happier state and getting your heart into a joyful glow then you will be happy. Take out all the anger and hate from your life and look life into a different perpective or view. Think positive, be active but most of all be friendly and open minded to all...
