If there were ever a marked man it was Lance. If the European media could have caught him they would have. He did not make friends or endear himself to anyone. And also consider that if he got caught he would have lost a lot more than just his job. He would have lost his credibility (where is the lance armstrong foundation without him?).
Whatever he might have done he would have had to be absolutely sure he couldn't get caught.
If he did anything he was the most secretive and effective doper out there.

Greg LeMond was the first American to win the Tour de France. He won it three times and might have won it more if not for a freak shooting accident. I just saw his "Fearless" episode in OLN and he took a jab @ Lance there too. He didn't name Lance but he said something about everybody doing the same amount of training so how would someone get a huge advantage all of a sudden if they were not doing something else?
The big difference between LeMond and Armstrong is the way Lance trained. Lance's training was very scientific. He also used every improvement possible he could use to get better. He used wind tunnels to figure out the best position for his body for the Individual Time Trials. He scouted and rode the climbs in training. He had Trek design bikes, Nike, design aero suits that would shave off a few precious seconds. And unlike other riders, he only concentrated on the Tour de France.
The guy was the most tested cyclist during the tour and he never tested positive. Now they "find" a positive in his waaaaayyyyy old samples?
Greg LeMond was a great rider during his time because he had to ride "alone" in the tour. Lance had the full support of his team in his seven wins. They both came back from near death situations, it's sad that they would have animosity between them.

I tust him.
I think it's hilarious that the French media won't let this go. Are they that chapped that an American could do what Lance did? When it comes down to it, while he was competeing in the Tour, Lance Armstrong underwent a drug test everyday and sometimes multiple times a day and he NEVER tested positive (this included the off season). The French media claim to have found frozen samples with a number on them (and no name) that they say was Lance's sample and that it tested positive for EPO six years after the fact. It's a load of crap.
Oh, and slony_44, Greg LeMond is an American. Next to Lance he is probably the most successful and famous American cyclist. I'd keep an eye on sports publications, particularly cycling ones, as I'm sure LeMond will deny this quote very soon.

If you ever read one of Lance's books you would trust him. The french would do anything to make the american cyclist look like a cheater. In the book "Every Second Counts" it talks about the random drug tests he had to go through. On one account, his wife Kik was in labor with her two kids when the random drug control people came and he still did it.

The guy had a fight with cancer for crying out loud!!!! Of coarse he did!!
As for performance enhancing stuff , I would take his word over some spineless Frenchman...i mean...
"I was forced to testify, because Lance had threatened me," LeMond said. "He threatened my wife, my business, my life. His biggest threat consisted of saying he would find 10 people to testify that I took EPO. Of course, he didn't find a single one."
c'mon...someone says that to me and I'm in the paper for punching his lights out ( or least trying to ) . The threat of getting other people to testify that he used EPO is more important than threatening his wife??? Geesh ...like I'm going to listen to him.

I trust him and think he does not do any illegal or banned drigs. Its just that some of these drugs were NOT banned at the time, and he may have done them then. He says "no", because he has to, but I'm not sure thats true.

The man has enough problems, so what if he did? I don't care one way or the other. He has accomplished more in his lifetime than the rest of us will. Be happy for him or shut the hell up.
