You cannot learn to forget someone. Obviously there is something about them you do not like or they have hurt you in some way. You can learn to make their presence not bother you. Our brains love habits. That's why it is very easy to become obsessed. But you can train your mind to not be bothered by that person. Once your brain learns how to think in that way it will get easier. One method to refocus your attention whenever the thought or sight of that person is to think about something else. I usually try to convince myself that I have more important things in my life to occupy my mind than obsessing about something upsetting. Takes practice, but it works.

Hello, U never forget and why would U? If there is a love for this person know that love is about given not taking. Know to that this person has a life that is also moving through its changes. No one can belong to anyone for any reason we are all free spirits gifting each other with the movements in life. Look at this way people come into our life's to give and sometimes we fell the knowing of this. They teach us through the many drama's so much of what we may have faced over and over again until the knowing is found. So, I say again never forget but be very grateful that U were on this journey with this person. Although U will see this person for the next eight months why would this be a problem. What fear is there in facing your most greatest lesson and to know that this was one of your many teachers along the way. Life is about living so live it.

There are a few doctors that still do shock therapy. They are the best and that can help. I know I few in Virginia where it is rare. Also if they have any of your stuff get a warrant detinut and sue for it back. It helps if you have back all of yoyr posseions so you are disconncted from them. If they have somthing to remember you buy then you must want it that way and you can leave it a that. Just find someone new. They don't have to be as serious just as cute and have potential as you build friendships or relationships with someone new you begin to realise the future could be better that the past was with this person and the next time they show up you will be happy together with somone else. I bet you.

Well, you can't exactly "learn" to orget about someone. You either forget them totally or you don't. But if you do not like someone that you're with maybe for something that he/she has done there is a way to forget about what they have done or to forgive them. Also you can forget about them for a certain amount of time. For instance when I'm in a tough situation that puts a lot of stress upon me or just something simple that I don't much care for I do things like hang out with my friends, talk and do things that I like to help me forget about the things that bother me. Well I hope this answers your question. Also another option is since your going to be with them the next 8 months you could be there friend and get to know them better. Just another suggestion.

Actually trying to forget about someone will probably only make you think of them more. You have to first deal with your feelings and then move on. Hang out with friends more. Keep yourself busy during the day so you dont have time to think about them.

you can't forget them...but I think you can change the way you think about them now and just make up your mind..it's better this way...would rather be friends (I'm assuming someone you had a relationship with)..than going through the next 8 months avoiding...

you can teach your mind to ignore them...you can do much with your brain if you can clear it and focus on your problem...as soon as you think of him you need to chant in your head..forget it forget him..do something else. Put a challenge to yourself everyday to see how well you can pretend that person doesnt exist

That sucks. Just get back together with them then, rather than go through all that. Just kidding. It does sound like Chad Michael Murray and Sophia Bush though. Just being silly. No help right? Peace.

Just leave them alone. IF they glare smile back. If they shove you tell them excuss you and if it continues tell someone

I don;t knwo exactly what your problem is with this person but teh best way to forget them is to avoid them and if you do have to be around them then act as if they are not there and be yourself
