Let's say there were no Judas. How would Jesus be caught and died for your sins? Those people responsible for his death were actually
hired by God for your salvation?

Judas didn't want to do it. I always believed that Judas was chosen by Jesus to be the one who turned him in. Jesus knew he had to die and chose his friend to make it happen. He didn't betray Jesus. He was following orders. Jesus told Judas he would betray him. A lot of people see this as Jesus telling the future. I say he didn't tell him that he would betray him. He told him he had to.

Judas was framed by Jesus. Jesus actually turned himself in, but but he figured it play better into the whole messiah thing if he could pass it on to someone else and since Judas and Jesus had the same amount of letters and began and ended the same Jesus picked him. If Judas's mother had named him Snarffy instead, he would have been teased a lot as a child, but he wouldn't have gone down in the bible as the eternal narc.

I wonder what twelve pieces of gold would equal to now, given inflation and whatnot... hmmm... maybe I'll post the question....

Yeah, that's right. Judas was doing God's work. He completed the series of events that put Jesus in Roman hands. But what role do the Jews who chose Barabas play in this?

To some extent. But God chose to use JHudas. If no Judas, God would have arranged for someone else or aln alternate method fo turning Jesus in.

Judas could have been anyone. If it hadn't been Judas, it would have been some one else-God had a plan. Judas was just a small part of it.

Niloy, you need to get saved, and stop worrying about the devil
(Judas). He sure isn't worried about you-he wants you in HELL.
John 6:70
Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
Luke 10:18
And he (Jesus) said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

I agree. I totally believe that Judas wasn't as bad as everyone made him out to be.

In a sense, that is true, only they weren't hired. God just knew who would choose what. That is why it is stupid for people to hate Jewish or Romans, it was something that had to happen. It was foretold to happen that way, and Jesus fulfilled it thus saving us.
