YES, if it is a private yard. I see I am in the minority, but come on. They are kids and my brother did it growing up. It kept him from running in and out in and out. He never peed on a hydrant, in someone else's yard, or has been arrested for pulling it out in public to pee on the grass. You teach them this is something you do at your home ONLY and it is a privilege you get at home. Let them enjoy the outdoors and you enjoy not worrying about them running in and out of your home.

No. My father used to teach my brothers to go in the backyard at home and so my brothers (when they were young) assume that ANY backyard anywhere they should use instead of the bathroom. So my mom had to be embarrassed having my brothers pull their pants down at friend's house's backyards! So teach your children now to use the bathroom or they will think they can use the outdoors where ever they are. If you live in a SUPER isolated area then if you let them pee outside explain clearly to them that they should ONLY go PEE outside (not number 2) and that they can only do this during the summer and wet and ONLY at your house no one else's. And no parks or public areas.

I suppose you could but, then they may make a habit of it even when they are not playing with the super soaker. How embarrasing would it be to get a call from another mom saying "your kid is peeing in our back yard", or on the play groung at school. I, personally, would think twice about it - but don't see any 'danger' in it - really.

Look at it this way. If you let them pee in your yard they may think they can do it anywhere. As they get older they could be arrested for indecent exposure. What would be easier to deal with, cleaning up a little bit of water now or having your child in jail later?

Don't listen to these people with making them go inside...they are kids...let them do what they need to do. No sense of letting them drip water thru the house. Now if they need to go number 2...that's a different story.

NO! you have to teach them that ONLY toilets are to be used for this. especially young boys, or else they'll be doing it anywhere.

i've seen workmen who were fixing my garage go into my backyard and do it behind a bush -- TOTALLY DISGUSTING!! i almost fired them right then and there. they could have knocked on the door and asked to use the bathroom. so, do'nt let men get into the habit.

Is that a real question?

No - the acid can damage the clothing.
Removing the clothing is illegal.
Urinating in public is illegal.
It's not good for the grass.
It's not good for the neighbors.
IT'S A HORRIBLE HABBIT TO GET THEM INTO!

yeah, my son knows he can go pee- as long as it's in the grass.
i don't see a problem w/ it, unless there's a non-related girl that would see them....
