wha tdoes a guy need to do to keep you interested in starting a conversation. what do u usually want to be talked about and what to avoid? what do i need to do to keep me from ******* up w/ a girl that appears to be interested in me?

Honestly, I think there is no real formula to keep a conversation interesting... Plus, the best way to know that you and a girl is compatible is by being yourself, talk about what genuinely interests you, and find that the girl is still interested. You don't want to be racking your brains for "interesting" conversation topics for the next months or years that your together, do you?

Well, first of all a compliment is always a good start. Other than that, just makes sure you sound interested in what you are saying that will make the conversation more appealing to her. Also, do not try to dominate the conversation. Make sure that she feels heard too. Jokes or funny anecdotes are also good, but make sure they are clean. Girls love guys that can make them laugh. It's a good icebreaker too.

Try sports - she may be interested in it. Next, movies, cars (choose a cool car like the mini cooper or hummer), latest clothing trend or stores.
All women like shoes - comment on hers.
If she's the intellectual type - talk about what colleges you applied to and the requirements of your major - whether you need it or not, ask her for help in one of your subjects.
