sometimes they mean what they say because it IS something they've been wanting to say but hadn't dared - but it could also NOT MEAN ANYTHING because alcohol has impaired their ability to think properly - so what they say might not make sense whatsoever or have any significant meaning in it - i guess it all depends on the person and the situation

I think most of the time, no, drunk people just talk out of their a**. While drunk, a person may feel more comfortable saying something they would normally be embarassed of, like whether they like someone or not. But, typically, if they say something mean, they are just an angry drunk and you shouldn't take what they say too personally. But you also shouldn't shrug it off and let it go, when they are sober you should tell them they hurt your feelings.

when someone is drunk it's them without the normal filter between their brain and their mouth. They wouldn't have said that when they were sober because they know better than to say it under circumstances or whatever, but usually they do mean it. It's like when you're drunk, you're under the impression that you're having a conversation with yourself, and you don't really realize that others are aware of what you're saying, or that once it's said it's said.

It all depends. If it's something that's been on their mind a while, and they've been wanting to say something about it and alcohol gave them courage, it's probably true. You really have to know the person well or even better than yourself to know. Most of the time, I wouldn't take anything seriously that a drunk person says.

I believe that the truth comes out when they are drunk, but if it was something that they did not mean to say, they never remember it or they say- I didn't mean that- I was drunk.

They say. As a matter of fact, the judges in any court would rather you were drunk instead of being a crack head because they tend to tell the truth

sometimes it's only when they're drunk that the truth comes out....so yes.........
but there are times when the person becomes overly defensive or whatever and than no...they'll say whatever they can just to get over feeling like they're on the spot...no matter how rude or mean or whatever..yet it's not something they mean in a case like that
