Yes.......There are many sins that are not litterally mentioned in the Bible, but we understand them to be a sin. Masterbation is an action that manifests itself as a moral sin.
Masterbation is not just an act. It involves lust and fantasy which glues the mind on a sexual situation. Taking part in that fantasy brings on the orgasm. According to Jesus the lust in a person's mind is the same as committing the act.

Our minds like our bodies is to always be under the subjection of God.

It doesn't say in the Bible that it is but often times the things that lead up to masturbation are sins. Examples would be lusting after someone and thinking about them sexually or looking at porno or watching movies to get your self in the mood and then wacking off.

The goal of the Christian life is to be pure in thought and deed and the issue of masturbation comes down to this.

1 Cor. 6:18, "Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body."

Eph. 5:3, "But do not let immorality or any impurity or greed even be named among you, as is proper among saints."

Col. 3:5, "Therefore consider the members of your earthly body as dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry."

1 Thess. 4:2, "For you know what commandments we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus. 3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you abstain from sexual immorality; 4 that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, 5 not in lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God."

* The Greek word for "immorality" is porneia which means illicit sexual intercourse, i.e., fornication, homosexuality, lesbianism, bestiality, etc. The English word "pornography" is derived from this Greek word.

Yes, it is a sin. A sin is a sin. I saw that someone had put that it isn't has bad as other things, but in God's eyes they are all the same. One sin might not seem as bad as another, but really they are all sins.

No. I studied in a christian school where I took health class several times and I ended up with the conclusion that it isn't, and it's something that God allowed to do in purpose to avoid men suffering since they ejaculate so much.

I think God gave that "ability" to people to avoid promiscuous sex, but anyway people have jumped the bridge and they still do it anyway.

What would God would prefer promiscuous sex or masturbation?

Definitely masturbation but I think that doing it while watching porn is a sin. Porn involves adultery which is a sin. Since it involves orgies, infidelities and sexual fantasies with other people who you aren't together with legally.

Oh and another thing to make you think.

Which one would God prefer.

a) Man has strong urges to have sex, he looks for a prostitute.
b)Man has strong urges to have sex, he masturbates.

B) B is better. God knows that men are imperfect and they were made with these imperfections of not controlling themselves to prove them and make them chose good choices in their lives.

If it is then EVERYONE is going to hell.
Because there are only two kinds of people in the world; those who masturbate, and those who lie about not masturbating.
Ok, a third exists, those that are mentally or physically incapable of masturbating, but they don't count...
