Let's say a good apartment with 3 rooms is at US$ 200 a month. Nice food at about US$ 6 per person per day. Transportation by bus at 1 buck a day. Miscellaneous expenses at 5 bucks a day. Go to the doctor once a month and buy some medicine: US$ 40. Go to a club on Friday and Saturday : US$ 20. Travel around Ecuador by tour once a month: US$ 40. TOTAL: 660 bucks

I'm exaggerating but you may want to do A LOT. Maybe it's around US$ 400 a month if you live with roomates.
