Yes! The higher the numbers, the higher the resolution, thus, clearer pictures!

Of course Yes. The former one has a resolution 3.1 MPixels, while the latter one has about 0.3 MPixels, which is a huge difference! (10 times more pixels i.e. 10 times finer you see the details of a picture)

Generally yes -- the higher the resolution, the sharper the image. But you also factor in things like sensors, lens quality, etc. For example, if you put a crappy lens on a top-of-the-line camera, you're still going to get crappy pictures!

Yes. Even if you just view it on your computer screen you'll see a big difference. If you print it out it will be an even more noticeable difference.

yes... but if you aren't blowing it up it shouldn't matter...

also check if you are reading the pic rez. or the lcd screen rez...
