Have you really met him or someone's image of him?

Sad, straight, and dull over what? I find in my relationship with him, there is great joy, love, companionship, honesty, laughter, frustration, empathy, shed tears, joy tears, ... what more could a friend truly be? I'm not a sad, straight, or dull person to know - I'm full of joy, not that I don't have sad moments, I'm sexually straight, but then that should have never had to of been defined, but I curve and have fun with life, and I radiate, and very much a people person and enjoy the relationships that are established because of the traits that I share with others. Jesus came in the flesh to teach us how to live in the flesh and I don't find a sad, straight, dull Jesus in the scriptures, I find a friend, Redeemer, and the only begotten Son of God, a King of all kings, a Lord of all lords, God in flesh, and now in Spirit guiding me daily.

Well a new take comes from an anthropology book I read in school that goes back to saying that Jesus was actually a revolutionary who tried to topple the Roman Empire. Though many before him, they were all called messiahs, his followers changed his life from fighting the Roman empire, which eventually got him killed, to a life of peace and spirituality which deflected the Romans from the early Christians and thus made it easier to spread around the world. So if you remove any religious overtones from his life, he still was a fighter who went down for his cause. Can't say that is too boring.

No. I think one of the biggest misconceptions was that Jesus was very straight-laced. Straight in attitude & actions doesn't necessarily mean boring. In fact I believe Jesus was not only fascinating, He probably smiled & laughed a lot, especially around His closest friends and family. And why not? He was among people He loved deeply who loved Him in return. Seems like a good reason to smile to me.

no he is not. i believe he had a divine sense of humor and probably made people howl with laughter when he wasn't being serious. That just wasn't mentioned in the Bible because the Bible is about the serious part, not a joke book.

And even when he wasn't joking around, I don't think he was so dull. he had lots of good lessons for us to live by.

He was a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. Isaiah 53:3

The bible tells us that we do not have a high priest that is unfamiliar with the sufferings we have in this life....but that He was in every way tested as we, but was without sin. I quote these verses to illustrate that our savior understands suffering. How could we relate to Him if He didn't know these things?

He suffered during His life here on earth, and suffered all the more on the cross to set us free from sin and death.

And by the way, one of the great rewards of knowing Him is a life of joy...in spite of circumstance.

Not sure what you're trying to ask...but then, I'm not really sure who Jesus was.

Okay, I know he was this Jewish guy that lived more than 2K years ago.

But if he was "sad", it might be because the way Christianity has turned and twisted this fellow into something he's not.
So, you're probably left with this false impression of who Jesus is, not who he really was.

No, if you read the Bible you will find out that both Kefas/Petrus and Josua/Jesus was married men, yes indeed they were. Only the bridegroom takes care of the wine and that custom takes place even today. Good to know I have just been to a Jewish wedding and seen it.
