You said the A-word. That's enough for them.

As a Christian and former non-believer, I must say that too many people seem to have a very negative view of Chrisitans when we are no different from anybody else on this planet. The part of that statement that makes Christians "think" (assuming there are any that do) you are immoral, empty, and needing God is the fact that you had to ask it and experiences with other athiests.

What if I said "I am a Chrisitan". What part of that statement makes athiests think I am a spritiual snob, argumentative, know-it all? You would probably answer the same way I did. It's the fact that I asked that would make you think any of those things (if you did) and your experiences with other Chrisitans.

So your questions begs the ovbvious follow-up question... ARE you immorral, empty, and in need of God? If not, then nothing in your statement would make me think that - since its not true. If you are, I hope you are able to find what you are looking for!

Most Christians believe that the only way to get to heaven is through God and the Church and that the only way you can be considered good in any sense is to accept Jesus in your life and believe in God. They are ignorant unfortunately. I myself am Catholic and many of my fellow Catholics believe this. If they bothered to study their own faith more closely they would see that according to the Church there is more than one way to God. If you live your life to the best of your knowledge then you should obtain heaven. I know you don't believe in God. I was just trying to point out just how ignorant these people who put you down are. They are not worthy to be called Christians. Our faith clearly states that we are not to judge others, but they are obviously judging you rather harshly. I would like to apologize for their inexcusable behavior. They're actions, unfortunately reflects badly on all of us.

I'm glad you put "some Christians" because we're not all like that. :) I used to be an atheist so I can relate. A lot of "Christians" are very hateful people. I say, believe what you want.

Part of their faith is believing and accepting god/jesus and if you don't that is a sin, and therefore immoral. Naturally anybody who strongly believes in their religion would want everybody to be able to have that connection and think if you don't you are empty even if you don't realize it and need god.

Because you don't believe like them... and a lot of them believe the Laws were all handed down by God himself. It's very rare to find one that actually studies these things to know that Pagans had these written laws in Babylon long before the Hebrews. ^_^ But they view it that if you don't have their God, you obviously don't have any comprehension of "Murder is Bad". It's a rather pathetic idea that because one doesn't believe in a higher power that they lack intelligence.

I Am is God! You are making yourself equal with God! Being an atheist is personal choice! Babylon whore was more intriguing than Da Vinci

I'm sorry you are getting that impression.

Personally, I assume there is a God that is the complete nature of the universe. And in this assumption God loves all...even those that understand it differently than I do.

I am a Christian. You say you are an atheist, that's your business.

I personally believe the bible....so I believe when it tells me what is going to happen to people who reject Jesus Christ. Does that mean I'm going to start lecturing you? No. Your choices and beliefs are your business....just as my right to believe what I do.
