I do not know why you think it is sad. I think it is totally amazing. To have a God that is willing to offer his OWN SON as a human sacrifice for MY sins....and offers ETERNAL LIFE in paradise. What do you think is sad about that?

I don't want to preach to you and I don't want to tell you what to think.
I just think it would be great if you could forget any Christian you had ever met and anything you had ever heard about Christianity- and discover on your own what Christianity was all about.
I think you'd find, it's this story about how the world started, and we were so close to our maker. But then we chose these things that seemed so good, but were so different from what our maker had planned for our lives. We thought that was what we wanted, but we lived in shame and guilt for thousands of years. Then our maker came into the world in human form. He walked with us, ate with us, and reminded us what life is really about. He was perfect. But then he was punished, and since he was punished but was perfect- he really was being punished for everything that we have ever done wrong. But he took the punishment because he wanted to- because he loved every part of the world so much, and it saved us all from all the ways we fall short. All the ways that we are not perfect, that we feel that we are not enough, or don't deserve something- he saved us from that when he died. Then he came back from the dead, and although an amazing miracle it showed way more than it seemed. It showed that we too can be whole, can be good, and can be enough even after we've made mistakes or fallen short of what was planned.
That's what Christianity's about, and I hope it's what you would find if you ignored everything else- all the fake people, all the harsh rules, all the traditions and customs.
Christianity is about being whole, and realizing that you can't do it on your own. It's not sad, it's the end of sadness.

Christianity and Christianity are two different things! That means; Much of the churches are more focused on their church, their programs, meetings, rules etc than on Jesus; focusing on Him; learning from him, following him, copying him in a real way by loving people!! Christianity as a cultural / church thing, is often both sad and boring, but Christianity as a life with Christ is both full of happiness and the most exciting life a person can live!

No I do not think Christianity is sad. (I am not a Christian).
Is the person attitude towards life that makes themselves feel miserable.
I find happy and sad people around not only in Christian but all other society or religion.

What kind of "Christians" have you been around? I doubt
that those who you are judging the sadness from are even
saved. Not everyone who goes around with a long face and
bad attitude is a real believer, you know. Go to a Bible-believing
Baptist Church with a hell-fire preacher, and I bet you'll get a
different view of faith.

Aw c'mon. Just think of these elements for a really sad movie:
He is born to a woman married to someone who is not his father. He barely escapes an early death at the hands of a tyrant.
For 20-odd years he drops out of sight.
He comes back as itinerant preacher, with no place to gather his flock.
He doesn't marry, in opposition to accepted norms of his religion.
His congregation consists of mostly unemployed men and at least some women of dubious reputation.
He immediately comes into conflict with local religious authorities.
A follower betrays him.
He runs afoul of the law, is tried, convicted, sentenced to death, and executed in a most cruel manner, in front of his loved ones. His deputy pretends not to know him.
He comes back from the dead for the weekend and disappears again.
This is happy to you?
UPDATE: Did you read that thing from "Jim C?" It turns out when you get to heaven you get to yuk it up about the folks burning in hell! Cool! And you thought there were no reasons to become a Christian.

I have had all sin and guilt removed. I have been promised to spend all of eternity in paradise with the One that I love most. I have a purpose and hope in life, and eagerly await Christ's return. Why would I be sad? I'm extremely happy! God bless!

Because it is a fear-based religion who's followers have no hope for their life on Earth; the thing they most look forward to is death and going to heaven to be with their god. They are waiting for Jesus to return to release them from this horrible life full of pain and suffering. In my experiences anyway, this seems to be true. They worry and worry about such small things and wish and wish for their savior to return. They take life for granted and forget that it is a gift that should be cherished.

It's not Christianity that's sad, but all the rotten things that get done/said by supposed Christians. People screw up in every religion.

It is not really sad it is more full of joy! So not everyone is happy all the time! Are you happy all of the time? If you were happy all of the time than what would you have to look forward to when you are happy or know that happiness is coming!
