mulberry jam 5.5 c prepared fruit about 3qts.
1/2 c fresh lemmon juice
1 box pectin
1/2 tsp. butter
8.5 c sugar- in separate bowl
crush berries thoroughly one layer at time measure exactly 5.5c into 8 qt. saucepan stir in lemmon juice, stir in pectin, add butter to reduce foaming.
bring to full boil on high heat stirring constantly.
stir in sugar return to full boil & boil for 4 min. keep stirring entire time.
remove from heat skim off any foam.
laddle into jars filling 1/8 in. from top.
place on elevated rack in canner water must cover jars by 1 or 2 inches. add more boiling water if needed bring to gentle boil ,process for 10 min. cool immeditly

Blackberry Jam Recipe:

ingredients:
9-10 pints blackberries (should make 9 cups crushed)
6 cups sugar

directions:
1. Clean, de-stem and crush blackberries.
2. In a large stainless steal or enamel pot combine crushed berries and sugar.
3. bring to a boil, stirring often until sugar is dissolved.
4. Cook to jell point, stirring often.
5. Remove from heat, skim off foam and ladle into clean hot jars.
6. Leave 1/4 inch head space.
7. Process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes at altitudes up to 1000 feet.
