Why does mine act like that too? Girl, that's 'cuz they are picky, specially female cats, my cat won't eat any other cat food that i give her unless is the one that she likes, or she also likes the "science diet dog food for puppies" she is weird, and she'll always meow even though she has food....

Good answers.
She may have worms, worming starts at 2,4,6,8,10,12,weeks then every month till they are 3 months old then every 3 months after that, buy a good wormer from a vet or pet shop, not the supermarket.
Also diet may be a problem what brand are you feediong her, get the best food you can, try pet shops and vets, their foods are some of the best. Optimum is good for a supermarket brand.

Have you noticed her loosing weight? Cats eat more when they have worms, or if they're pregnant. Also, consider the possibility that she may be bored. My cat gets excited to eat when all he has to look forward to is eating. Play with her for 10 minutes every day.

She may have worms. If she is more than 12 wks old you can generally use an over the counter wormer picked up from the local pet department. If that doesn't work, see a vet.

Maybe your not feeding her enough, try just putting out a huge bowl of food and keep it full. If she was a stray or was in a large litter of kittens sometimes they feel the need to horde food when they get the chance. She may not be hungry but may think that she has to eat it in case she doesn't get another chance to eat. By leaving out large quantities of food eventually she'll realize that she's not starving and she doesn't need to horde the food.

She may have worms, or this may stem from her days as a kitten. She could have been the runt of the litter, and had to fight for everything she got. It's really hard to break them of that habit, too.

My sister had a cat that always acted like she was starving. The cat was previously homeless and gorging was a form of comfort.

they act like that cuz we allow it....I have finally realized it. I tried De-worming........no worms. tried all different foods.........they are just picky and bitchy and want what they want when they want it. They will change their food preferences every time I decide I can finally buy in bulk. because, they can, and we let them, I love my kitties, but they drive me crazy
