Well, I'm Jewish.

What do you mean by porn?
It is very subjective word.
Some would argue that Michelangelo's statue of David (with exposed genitalia) would be considered porn.

I assume you might be asking about magazines or video that depict people having sex.
If the material is offensive to you, then its pornography.
If you find it stimulating, well, it still might be considered porn by other people.

Whether it is a sin is something for your priest/minister to discuss with you, based on your particular beliefs.

Were you watching by yourself or with someone else?
Did you like it or were you offended?
Do you want to watch it again?

The problem with some adult-themed magazines and video is that the material victimizes women (and sometimes men).
It also raises some unrealistic expectations of your partner, or them of you.
And when someone would rather view porn instead of having an honest, loving relationship then it - in my book - would be a sin.

Lust is a sin. I don't believe actually watching (this is my belief, I'm sure others have theirs) it is a sin. Lusting after the men/women in the movie (any movie) is really a sin. Watching porn with your husband, and wanting your husband, is not a sin at all. Our bodies are made to be pleasured, and you should share that w/your spouse. Watching alone, again, lust is the sin. We're not supposed to, as Christians, lust after anyone except a spouse. I don't believe masturbation is a sin. It is what you are thinking about while masturbating that COULD be a sin.

Yes porn is a sin because you are supposed to be saving your self for your future spose. By watching porn you are making your self feel good. When a married couple has sexual intercourse they are supposed to be worring about how the other person feels. This is also why maturbation is a sin.

Yes it is a sin. If you are buying or renting a porn movie you are financially contributing to a business that pays people to fornicate outside of wedlock. You are watching it for sexual pleasure. According to the Bible people who have sex outside of marriage are committing adultery and should be put to death. So on many levels enjoying porn is a sin.

Actually, I will go against the grain. It isn't necessarily a sin if you aren't looking at the women (or men) with lust. If it doesn't tempt you then no. But it is HIGHLY unlikely that you are watching it for the plotline, so in all likelyhood yes it is.

You know, a lot of religions say that anything to do with the human body is sinful. "Sins of the flesh" they're called. Why did God give us a corporeal form in the first place? Why is sex pleasurable? I think that anything you do to your own body is your business. If you enjoy it, you don't have to feel guilty about it.

Aside from being a sin if you believe in sin, it is demeaning to your fellow women. they have hurt themselves by performing in these films and you are hurting them and yourself by creating a demand for this type of entertainment.
