The meaning of life according to Hindu scriptures is to understand your real identity. Your real identity is that you are not the material body, you are instead an eternal spiritual soul. The soul may take on another material body at the time of death depending on its desires / actions in this life.
We can see that the some so called religious people (all faiths) take on the "multiply and be fruitful" message too literally and ignore the other commandments of God. We can see the results of these ignorant actions in the idiotic offspring they produce.
The real purpose is not to reproduce like cats / dogs / rabbits but to understand what God wants. God has advised that we should not take on the responsibility of parenthood unless we can guarantee to educate our children in understanding who they are and their actual relationship with God.

Absolutely not. If that were the case we'd all be able to reproduce without any problems what so ever. Reproduction is a part of life but not the definitive reason.

No. It is what Man 's purpose in life is. God the creator has no Shortage.
Life comes in various forms fiscal, celestial & spiritual as well as plant and animal. Human life purpose, is to have their Spirit recounceled to God.
If you were stranded on another planet, and the only way home was to have a human temple for your exestance.Till you returned home you might see the need for Humans.

yep, thats about it. This is why our bodies are programmed to kick out the hormones when we are sexually ready, so we do it
Sex and eating, 2 basic processes that we are hard wired to do.
survive and reproduce, thats our purpose.
Unfortunately man has disturbed the balance of survival of the fittest and we must curb our reproduction.

the meaning of life....is life in God it is for his purpose that He created us..and not that we created ourselves...God has a purpose for all men..We are/were designed by God to give him praise and worship...and in turn He purposed to share his magnificence and eternal life with us so Jesus said in John 14th chap In my Fathers house there are many mansions and if it were not so I would have told you I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare a place i will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am ye may be also...So you see God wants to share with us his greatness and beauty and the joys of ....like fatherhood...and when your Father does things for you ...don't you give him thanks?..
God is the same with us we ought to give him thanks and praise for this life and the life that is to come in Him...God bless

I think that's part of the reason we're here, but not the only reason. I think part of the reason is for us to love God.
