Wow, Mr. Grail. Does your compassionate religion teach you that? I think not. Not all homeless people are "drunk 24/7" as you say. Neither are all of them weak and pathetic. Some of them may actually be working, but can't afford a place to live. Have you really thought about that? Hmm? Let me dispel the little illusion you have in your mind about being homeless. Being homeless is rough, and I've been there before. Alcohol is not even remotely as important as food and clean water. I've been dumpster diving before. It's humiliating, but you lose your pride and live with it. Another thing, it's not so simple to get a job these days. When you're wearing rags or dirty clothes, not many people will hire you. Think about that. If you're homeless, it's not so easy getting clean clothes and/or keeping them clean.
I think everyone should experience being homeless at one stage in their life. It gives you better meaning in your life and makes you appreciated the good things in life and how easy we have it here in the States. I hope everyday you pride yourself in walking by a homeless person and in essence, spitting on them. I take offense to that, because I've been there. Shame on you!

No. there are homeless people who do believe in God and have faith. Their needs are meagerly met with soup kitchens, shelters, free clothing giveaways, etc. They are probably more thankful to God than the man who has everything. God doesn't promise us a life of luxury, although the televangelists will say differently. But the only ones I see living in luxury are the televangelists. Pray tell, they would ever give one of their hundred dollar tapes to someone who couldn't afford it. So I guess their ministry is for the well to do. They seem to forget that Jesus turned over the money tables in the temple, and threw out the moneychangers. Gods salvation is not for sale. It is free. So those of the homeless who have faith in God, and trust in the Savior, are more richer than any billinare could ever be. For they know that they have a mansion awaiting them.

I know that there are a lot of homeless people and they are that way through no fault of their own. But you would be surprised at the homeless people who have money probably more money then you or I. Example I have read and heard of homeless people, that after they die you can find all kinds of money stuffed in different places that they hang out. They have even done interviews with some that say they can make more money on the street begging than they ever could at a job. plus it is tax free.

It looks that way. Another verse claims that if 2 gather in his name and pray, it will be given to you... I've seen many homeless people pray together just to get Good food for the day, instead of the slop at the local community kitchen or out of the garbage and it doesn't happen.
And I bet you're getting all kinds of rationalizations for this one too. "Oh, it's not in God's Time." Or, they're being tested... etc... People really shouldn't claim that God is going to do anything and then try to cover up when it doesn't happen.

This world is controlled by uncaring shelfish governments and this world is not God's right now, it is the devil's...that is why there have been dangerous demon-like people who have ruled certain countries...anyhow, God does not want people to suffer like this...that is why he will end the suffering when arrmageddon comes and it is not that the homeless have no faith, it is that they are alive and God does not allow anyone to suffer more than what they can take...it makes you stronger and allows for testimonies that will be passed down to other people who may need them one day. i know, because i have been homeless before.

no. im sure they have faith that one day they will not be homeless anymore. you see God loves us so much that he will put us through many difficult things in life just for us to see that without Him life is nothing and worthless. so maybe a lot of homeless people ( and all of them have their stories to tell ) but maybe they just didnt have faith befor they became homeless. maybe they thought everything would be okay and just let things slip away. but im sure they still have faith and if they pray and believe then one day they will get back to their feet. its not just sitting under a bridge and praying. that wont get you too far. you have also get up and try yourself. you have to get a job before you become too homeless. when i say " too homeless" i mean by becoming too deep into that part of life as a homeless, becoming dirty and lazzy. i klnow there are lots of homeless people who are lazzy and just wont try anymore. but befor you becom that poor, you should try everything to get back up on your feet and keep your faith in God.

No. Because God does provide them. Their hard times is motivation to work harder and be a better person so they can learn the lesson and make it on their own. God'll give you the boat but you have to paddle yourself to shore. Thats how it works. He provides them with the lesson, opportunity, aid along the way (shelters, giving people to help with money) but its ultimately their choice to take these things God's providing and use it for good to get themselves out of the hole they dug themselves into- OR to go to the 7-11 and buy a 40oz beer and get too drunk.

yet there are so many homeless people who are more, I would say even deeply religious, than most of the "well looked after" people of the world.
This reasoning either leads to God not-existing or the falseness of your supposition.
Therefore, God does not provide for our needs. We are left to look after thoes ourselves.

No it means our society is fascist.
Most of the homeless are mentally ill people that the government refuses to take care of.
