I have dyed my hair so many times in the past 6 months. I went from light brown to blonde to red and green and then i put in highlights to cover up the red and green that didnt wash out like it was supposed to in 7 days. My hair is so, so dry. Is there any kind of hair product that would help my hair? My hair is really blonde and it is making me looked washed out. I want to dye it but my hair is tooo fried. HELP!!!

Get some regular mayonnaise from your fridge or wherever you keep it, and put a big glob of it in your hair and massage it all over. Put on one of those shower caps and leave it on for about 20 minutes. That will help put more moisture back into your hair quickly. You'll have to wash your hair with a good shampoo that isn't loaded full of alcohols (like Bed Head which is what I use, TreSemme, Dove or any brands that get sold in salons) about two times to get the mayo smell out but it's totally worth it. Follow it up a few days later with two raw eggs and repeat the same process.
I know this sounds gross and crazy but I assure you that it works wonders. I do it to my healthy hair once every other month or so and it feels so soft and looks a lot healthier.
You will need to find a color though and stick with it to let your hair recover and depending on your hair it could take a while.
Good luck!!

Woah, don't dye it or you'll most likely end up with no hair! You really need to baby it and get moisture back into it. Hair color strips moisture, and every time you dye it, it will just get worse. Look in the shampoo aisle at the store, there is a new line of products, I think they're by Helene Curtis that are tailored to a specific hair problem, and they have one for dry hair. It's a three part system of shampoo, conditioner, and cream. They were about $2.99 each and were in brightly colored bottles. Hope that helps, and next time remember that dye can only lighten natural hair (not dyed hair) and will have different results all together on hair that has been chemically lightened!

Hunny, go to a salon and get it treated fast. They have serums that can take any colour out of your hair, and hair repair products that you cannot buy in the store.

I know it is expensive to go, but you have already spent tons of money getting to the place you are now.

And, don't die it for a while. Give your hair time to grow back and get healthy. Get a trim to cut off all of the dead and split ends.

Then when you are home, once a week before bed (or as often ad you like), after shampooing, ring your hair out as best as you can. Slop on tons of conditioner and place a bag over your hair. Sleep over night like this and wash out in the morning. Do this as much as you like to keep your hair silky and manageable. This will also keep the splits in control and will ward off dry damage. I get hair masks as well to help.

Good luck and be really nice to your hair for a while. Go get it fixed professionally and leave it be for a while to recoup. I fried my hair from dark brown to blond and it took a year to grow back nice hair. The conditioning helped deal with the hair breakage.

go to a salon like Ed Wise and get some deep conditioner i dont think the average stuff will do it... its pretty much like a hair mask

or use this recipe....

Step 1: Mix in a bowl 2 tablespoons each of rinse-out conditioner, a leave-in conditioner, a deep conditioner & a hair mask.
Step 2: Comb the mixture through clean, damp hair making sure to focus most of the product on mid-shaft down to the ends.
Step 3: Wet 2 large towels, wring them out & heat one in a microwave for 1-2 minutes (depending on how hot your microwave gets the towel, you want it tolerable to touch, but steamy warm).
Step 4: Wrap hair up in the hot towel while you heat 2nd towel in microwave.
Step 5: Alternate wrapping hair in towels about 2-3 times.

This ultra-deep conditioner should be repeated once a week.

My daughter liked dyeing her hair black, even though it was dark brown anyway, being that she was half Latina; eventually, her mother got a call at work "Mom, come home something terrible's happened!" She arrived to discover the gal in a beret...her hair was falling out. Stop coloring your hair for now, use the Aussie 5 minute miracle or Humectress to moisture it, put some Brylcream or Alberto VO5 in it every day, until it becomes shiny and manageable and springy again.

Talk to a hairdresser. She may be able to recommend what is best for your hair right now. Leave your hair "really" blonde for the time being, no matter how washed out you look. It will tone down in time. Stop the dying!

biosilk really helps alot but if it is friend enough you may just need to get it cut. just cut it a few inches at a time so you dont go into shock. I have fried my own hair and it is just now getting to be back to healthy after 3 years. i deep condition it twice a week, i put biosilk in it after every shower, and do hot oil treatments every 2 weeks. I also get a trim once a month to get rid of all the dead stuff. It will take some time to get your hair back, but you will good luck

You must use Nexus Acidifying Conditioner and Detangler usually in any store about $17.00 a bottle but worth it .
Condition w/ that after washing and sleep w/ Pantene Frizz control conditioner for about a week.Right away you will see a diff. After 2 days.
Wait about 2 weeks or more to color your hair again.
Also you can use the new Pantene Color Conditioner in the meantime. Its a great conditoner w/color tint in it.
Good Luck!

you have to deep condition it every week , it needs more moisture, elasticity, dyeing your hair can dry it out makes it hard and brittle. I did that before and aventurely my hair broke of, If your hair looked fried it is hard to style. go to a beautican.

oh and if you put a semi permanent in your hair not a permanat a semi permanant make sure the color you choose has a red base and not a blue because green is whats going to show up on your hair. i will stain it.

Ok...I made the same mistake years ago!! My hair was like straw. First thing....give your hair a bit of a break...no products for a while. Get some Cholesterol Cream and use it in your hair (don't use it when you want to go out it smells bad but it works) ...get a short as you can stand it cut.....and keep it trimmed, keep using the cream.....after a month or so, you could color it to your natural color....and then let it grow out....
