I found a vitamin drink that has 1667% of your daily vitamin c need. Is it really safe to drink 17 days worth of vitamin c?

Actually I found out this is equal to about two large glasses of orange juice.

Vitamin C is water soluable. Whatever your body can't use is usually filtered out by the kidneys and ends up in the toilet. However, in some cases, too much C can cause kidney stones.

its liquid. i wouldnt think that it would kill u? doesnt orange juice have vitamin c? you wont die from sipn that all day? how could it have 1667% when there is just 100%. thats like saying....im giving 110% coach...uh u cant bc theres no such thing. even if there is, its somethin u consume, so it should have a serving thing on the back. if it would kill u to drink the whole thing, they would have to put it in a smaller container that would make it un harmful to the consumer. i say ur good

The answer is NO!!! It is not a bad idea to take a vitamin supplement,or to even take vitamin c but in large doses anything can be deadly. I would strongly advise against taking anything in such a large dose. be careful.

That sounds like a lot. But, I know that your body will not use all of it, so the remainder will go to waste. No pun intended. Vitamin C is good for keeping you from getting sick and used as an energy booster. There is something called EMERGEN-C (or something like that) that was the best to keep me healthy and awake during college (like for my 8am class). :)

Even if it is harmless, why would you want to drink something that has 1600+ % of the RDA of something? I read that a single large dose can cause gastrointestinal problems, so ya might get a belly ache.

It's probably a lot better (and safer) to forget the drink and eat some oranges.

vitamin c is water soluble which means whatever your body doesnt use gets evacuated from your system (peed out). So it's not dangerous.

Maybe you are supposed to only drink it once every 17 days.

It's fine, the extra vitamin c will just not be absorbed.
