What does word " Catolic" means.?

I wander how many catolics know what Ctolicism means.

Catholic means "universal" in Latin.

Constantine merged all the different religions into one and called it the "Universal Religion." The stated purpose of the Council of Nicaea was to develop a single philosophy that would become the official religion of the Roman Empire.

How that became "Christianity" is a mystery.

The Universal Religion is based on Pauline doctrine and is far more pagan than Hebrew. The Universal Church should be called the "Church of Paul" or "Church of Constantine" since it has little or no resemblance to anything Jesus did or taught.

2 HE was perfect in all ways !
3 HE was seen by angels as HE was
originally (THE GOD), and as a man !
4 HE taught the non Jewish ( as well as many Jews) !
5 HIS teachings were (and are) believed by MANY people !
6 HE returned to HIS place - we call that place heaven !

First off it's 'catholic' not 'catolic' and while I'm not catholic by any stretch of the imagination I do respect their beliefs. To answer your question 'catholic' merely means 'universal' or 'worldwide' in Latin, depending on who is translating.

I am of the Christian Faith....I am a member of The Holy Catholic Church. The Church of which Christ is The head. Catholic means Universal.

Then there are those of the Roman cult who call themselves catholic. But that is another breed of cat altogeather
