hmmm... sounds like keratosis pilaris -- i have that too. well, they're not really "rashes" they call it "chicken skin" because it looks like the hairs are standing up. is that what you have? they're also dark in color. you need a medication designed specifically for that condition. it's nothing fatal, just annoying.

rashes are caused by tons of things..if it occurs after you've been outside for awhile then it could be sun poisoning,,,cortaid or any of the anti itch cremes will help with the itch but if that's when it occurs,,,simply apply a sunBLOCK on your arms about 10 mins before you go out. and you will not get the rash at all. i can't take the sun as well as i use to out in california..now in indiana i have a problem with a rash if i don't use a sunblock. i use to think it was the spores,,mold or humidity here but its the sun. i can put one arm in the sun while the other isn't and i get a rash on the sun'd arm....

Try using an anti rash cream. If the rash doesnt go away, it may be a sign of a serious underlying condition, in which case, you should call a doctor.

You should see a doctor to find out what is causing the rashes. However, there's a product called Anti Itch that stops itching almost immediately upon contact with the skin. If this doesn't take care of it, go to a doctor.

Good health to you.

rashes on the upper arm are usually not dangerous, especially if there is not bleeding or too much itching. you should wear cotton underwear and if your skin is fatty, try body shampoos suitable for your type of skin.
