Gameboy Advance SP (or another handheld gaming system), an mp3 player, and a laptop if wireless internet is available (unless you'd be using the computer sans internet).

It realy depends how far you are going but you should bring $$$ and some sort of music device. A pillow is good and a book will make time fly by!!!

If traveling alone, I take my mobile phone - which has a mp3 player on it and a good book.
If traveling with kids and husband, then it's music for eldest daughter, and me for youngest daughter. She is not a tech head as yet.

my palm, laptop, and ipod - and then probably a good book and I'd be set for a pretty good amount of time

Laptop for sure. I can watch movie. listen to music, work on a project, play games......instead of the other limited usage device.
