I'd like to, basically flatten my stomach, and work on losing just a little weight, any good simple ideas?

-preferably something I can do from home.. ?

Bellydance! You can get some good videos off amazon.com. There is a set by a set of twins, they are very good. Good exercise, fun, tone your abs, and learn some sexy moves at the same time! I would also recommend Carmen Electra's Strip to Fit (also on amazon.com) as a fun way to lose weight and learn sexy moves.
