I have 6 Shih-Tzu's and walk them daily. I can't walk more than 2 at a time, because I'ts a challenge enough keeping 2 retractable leashes untangled when they cross & wrap around street poles.

I have come up with an invention: a multiple dog walking apparatus and would like to market it to PetSmart, PetCo, etc. If you have 2 or more dogs, would this product interrest you, would you buy it and why?

Okay, I know the tandem leash you speak of, mine is WAY diferrent, AND you can use your own leash...like MY favorite: the retractable leash. And yes, if you own dogs that are HUGE-and weigh more than you, it may not be right for you, but dogs who are well leash trained, you can use my invention with different sized dogs ( up to 25 lb difference)

the problem that I have with a product like this is that my dogs are very diffrent sizes and do not walk at the same speed, but I'm sure it would work for someone with two or more dogs of the same breed such as yourself. Good Luck!

I don't personally own 2 or more dogs but my mom does and I've taken her dogs for walks with my own too. I think that leash would be great, even though they will still get tangled up unless the leash is just a straight thing that wouldn't move from side to side...which that wouldn't be really good for the dogs.but if you could figure out a way in which the leashes wouldn't get tangled up and you could walk more than 1 or 2 dogs at a time then I would buy it. Anything to make taking the dog for a walk easier...I'm all for it!

Ok. 6 Shih-Tu's equals one real dog. No, that product would not interest me because 6 of anything on 1 leash is dangerous. Instead of 1 dog runing away and getting hurt, now they're all put in harm's way because you have more dogs than you can take care of properly, at one time. Instead, load them all into your vehicle, and take them to a dog park where thay can all get the excerside they need, and they're in a fenced enclosure. You can ferry them in pairs back and forth from the car.

This product is already available. Usually called a "tandem" walker or similar. It hooks both leashes onto one hook, then separates out so both dogs have room to move around a bit, but not enough to get tangled. Also can get these online and on eBay. It's definitely worthwhile to get one! Used one, loved it! But each dog needs to have leash manners, too, or it can STILL be a hassle!!

yes i would. i have 2 pitt bulls and it adds a better balance while walking. as you know pitts are very strong and this allows me to be more in control of both of them because i can focus all my strength in one area.
