The broader question, assuming there is a heaven, is if animals have souls? Assuming they do indeed have souls, do they all go to heaven, or do some go to hell or purgatory? Of course there is the old possibility of reincarnation. Choose your pick. This should be in the least interesting.

dickiericky, for your information I devoted two years of my life reading nothing but the bible so I have a pretty good idea what it says. Now do i agree with everything it says? That's another story.

kittyhawk059, this is the warm and fuzzy answer I want to believe. In my opinion instead of a straight up or down shot for sentient beings I think reincarnation a more likely scenario. But who knows for animals maybe they are much better than us. I have seen animals, though, that were super kind, offering their food bowls to others, and other animals that snarled trying to rip your throat out and all that jazz. Who knows maybe they have their own spiritual paths to work through.

behapee, I liked your comment about looking into animals eyes and knowing they have a soul. It is some what of a Buddhist percept that the more aware you become the perceptive you become of reality. I commend you on your perceptiveness.

The bible speaks of a covenant that god has with the animals. The Old Testament says that the bull (or whatever animal) that attacks and kills a person is to be put to death. So...maybe all dogs that don't attack or hurt go to heaven...?
I don't believe that they have a soul though...I'm undecided actually but I definatly don't believe in purgatory so no to that. I don't think they go to hell...what would be the point?

draw bodies for the h and n and see that its my fathers funeral. And som up god and its h sum up god jehovah and its e so god is first in heaven and god jehovah is second. so h is?
so further proof its about Me is my grandfather had a missing arm parts.
read your bible all thoughts cease when dead. so you might have a funeral but you will never know cause you can't dream even. and yes animals do have souls if still alive cause all living things were said to have souls. So if heaven is burying a parent then hell is burying a child.
the story of the Lamb SLAIN is Larri b SL A I IV as per Todd's arm of IIII I . And Todd is Larry's second name. And its spelled Larri so the italians would understand it. cause they have no y in their alphabet.
although the church says the Lamb is Jesus and the Bride is the church thats mistaken. cause church pertaining to the Bride is pronounced see her see h and h is described MARCH APRIL MAY. And H A P(DI. Stitched together)RIL M(IVIstitched together) AY is reading forward from H. Reverse says the same thing.
Thus forget the church its not the bride of this Lamb SLAIN who they try to get you to hate. So any money that you think you give to the KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS who was the Lamb SLAIN does not ever reach Him as either Jesus or TODD cause Jesus is dead and Larry Todd S. will probably soon join him cause the only KINGDOM they would ever give me is probably in that eternal ern.
so if the imposed religion is christianity they you can't hurt or afflict Me with anything cause I am a fatherless orphan. So i can hate the we are all married to the church crap all i want. Cause they promise you eternal life or reward in heaven which is a big lie to say your going to get dead eventually.

Animals are a creation of God's, I don't know if they have a soul or not, but I believe that all of God's creations will join Him in heaven (except for the humans that choose to go else where).

No. Animals are not human, so they have no immortal souls. They were not created in God's image. If they did have immortal souls, God would have mentioned them in the Salvation Plan. He didn't. Consequently, there is no "Saint Rover" or "Saint Spot"..
Reincarnation, by the way, is not real.

I believe animals can go to heaven, the Bible speaks of animals in heaven and animals praising God. Though it also reffers to "hounds of hell" so maybe they can go both places.

All animals go to Heaven because their souls are pure; so they don't reincarnate, but we do, many times...

I don't believe that animals have souls. They are capable of love and of affection (see dogs) but I believe that no creation except humanity was created with a soul. So when dogs die, they just die except for their memories that we carry with us.
